CAMPGROUNDS:
Youth Tent Area

NOTICE: McCormick's Creek State Park was severely damaged by a tornado on Friday, March 31, 2023. The park is open for limited use: the Nature Center, Canyon Inn, cabins, most shelters, and some trails are open and operating. The campground and some park trails remain closed.

Campgrounds:
Electric Sites | Primitive Sites | Group Camps | Youth Tent Area | Rules | Rates & Reservations

The campground at McCormick's Creek State Park features 4 primitive group tent areas (available year-round) for:

  • groups of 10-15 with campers under 21 years and their adult leaders
  • the public, semi-public and not-for-profit groups only
  • tent camping only

In addition, the following rules apply:

  • no alcohol
  • 3 cars allowed per site (all others go in overflow parking lot)

Youth Tent Area campsites include:

  • fire rings
  • picnic tables
  • pit toilets (no showers or restrooms, shared by all youth tent campers)
  • drinking water supply near campground
